The Family Of George Floyd Set To Sue Kanye West for $250 Million

The Family Of George Floyd Set To Sue Kanye West for $250 Million

After Kanye West made comments on his Drink Champs interview suggesting that George Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose, the Floyd family has decided to take legal action. Gianna Floyd’s mother has hired a team of lawyers to bring this lawsuit against the hip-hop mogul.

Floyd’s family is suing West for $250 million in damages after West made false statements about Floyd’s death. They claim that West created an unsafe environment for their daughter and is causing her mental and emotional pain. Kanye West has not responded to the lawsuit.

West’s comments about Floyd have caused a flurry of backlash. The family has hired attorneys from the Witherspoon Law Group and Dixon & Dixon Attorneys at Law to handle the case. They have also issued a cease-and-desist letter to West.

Kanye West has also been accused of playing stupid games, winning ridiculous prizes and making offensive comments. However, his lawsuit against West is a result of his statements regarding the death of George Floyd. The rapper espoused a conspiracy theory regarding the cause of Floyd’s death. The Hennepin County medical examiner said that Floyd died due to fentanyl use, but the truth was more complicated. In the interview, West also blamed Jewish Zionists for spreading “salacious gossip” about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. Meanwhile, West  and his associate Candace Owens appeared at Paris Fashion Week wearing two ‘White Lives Matter’ shirts.
