It is widely speculated that Universal is working on a biopic of Snoop Dogg, who has sold over 35 million albums worldwide. This movie is being directed by Allen Hughes, who co-directed “Menace II Society” and “The Book Of Eli.” The biopic will have actual music from Snoop’s catalog, and Snoop has been involved with the project for some time.
Snoop’s career spans several different eras. He started out as a rapper in the early ’90s and went on to collaborate with Dr. Dre on his first album, “Doggystyle.” Later, he expanded his career by becoming an actor and TV personality. In addition to rapping, Snoop has become an investor and has a children’s television show called Doggyland. In addition, he’s worked as a co-star on Jamie Foxx’s vampire hunter movie “Day Shift” and worked with BTS on Benny Blanco’s “Bad Decisions.”
According to Variety, Universal is developing a biopic of Snoop Dogg, which will feature some of Snoop’s music. Allen Hughes will direct the film, which will be the first production of his Death Row Pictures banner. It is also being written by Joe Robert Cole, who wrote the script for the Oscar-winning “Black Panther” and “The Departed” films.
