Kevin Samuels passed away on May 5th. The cause of death was unknown at the time of his passing. A female friend of his told 911 dispatchers that she had noticed chest pains in Kevin Samuels before he died. When he was taken to the hospital, he was pronounced dead by medical professionals. Earlier in the morning, he had complained about chest pains. He had also complained of irregular heartbeat.
After being admitted to the hospital, Samuels’ death was ruled a homicide. He had met a woman at the gym earlier in the day. The woman told 911 operator that she was a nurse but did not know the man’s address. During the 18-minute call, Ortensia Alcantara became increasingly frantic, performing CPR on Samuels. She then took him to Piedmont Hospital, where he died.
Several sources pointed to a history of high blood pressure and chest pain in Samuels. A woman who identified herself as a nurse called 911 to tell dispatchers that Samuels was complaining of chest pain and had fallen the day before. A nurse at the apartment rushed Samuels to Piedmont Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
