Kanye West’s Instagram account was suspended after his latest rants, which were conceived as having anti-Semitic overtones. The tweets were shared with his 18 million Instagram followers. The American Jewish Committee has called for Kanye West to be permanently banned from social media.
The rapper was suspended on Instagram and Twitter on Oct. 9 due to a controversial anti-Semitic post. The post was deleted after the American Jewish Committee condemned the post. But he has since returned to Twitter. Elon Musk has greeted him back on Twitter, and has congratulated West’s return.
Following his Twitter ban, Instagram banned West from their platform as well. He alleged that he used racial slurs and he was anti-Semitic. The ban has made him an outcast on social media. Nevertheless, it is important to remember that these are only temporary. In the meantime, Kanye West’s career is not at risk.
Earlier, Kanye West had created a controversy when he donned a shirt featuring the phrase “White Lives Matter” during Paris Fashion Week. He was shocked at the backlash that followed his post. He said he had written the phrase on the shirt because “White Lives Matter” is so obvious.
Instagram has removed the posts in question from Kanye West’s account. Instagram says he violated their policies on bullying and hate speech. His Instagram account was suspended for 24 hours. This ban means that he cannot comment, post, or send direct messages to anyone for 24 hours. If he offends again, further action could be taken.
