Beyonce’s Renaissance Album Comes In At Top Of The Charts

Beyonce’s Renaissance debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, making it her seventh solo No. 1 album. The album sold 332,000 equivalent albums units in its first week and sold 190,000 physical copies. This makes Renaissance Beyonce’s seventh consecutive No. 1 album, following Lemonade and 4. Both albums are issued by Columbia Records, but Renaissance is the first of the new era of music.

Though the lead single “Break My Soul” is making its way up the charts, other songs from the album have been generating more buzz than the lead track. In fact, “Break My Soul” is at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Obviously, Beyonce has a lot of success ahead of her. Beyonce’s Renassaince is one of the best-selling albums of all time, but there’s no reason to think she’ll stop here.

Beyonce’s latest album RENAISSANCE is the pop star’s fourth solo album to hit the top of the UK charts. It is her highest-charting  album since Destiny Child’s Survivor album in 2001. It has outsold its nearest competitor three to one, and has also made the Official Vinyl Albums Chart. This makes it Beyonce’s highest-charting solo album in 14 years.
