During the August 10 episode of “The Breakfast Club”, Angela Yee announced her exit from the show. She revealed that she would be leaving the show to launch her own daily radio program on iHeartRadio. It’s unclear if the departure is permanent.
Yee has been a part of The Breakfast Club for over a decade. She has worked as an integral part of the “central trio” of Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy and herself. She has also interviewed a number of stars and is known for her to-the-point interviews with artists. She has interviewed many celebrities such as Jay Z, President Barack Obama and Issa Rae.
Angela Yee‘s new show will be a national daily radio program. It will air on more than 30 iHeartMedia stations and will also be syndicated through Premiere Networks. It’s being described as a “listener interactive” show. It will also focus on a variety of topics.
Yee has been in talks with iHeartRadio for years. She has worked with Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy for a decade. Yee will still be a part of the “central trio” of The Breakfast Club, but she will not be the host of the show anymore.
The show was launched in 2010, and it has since garnered eight million listeners per month. It’s a popular drive time morning show. The show has also been nominated for a number of awards. It’s currently being syndicated in 90 states in the U.S.
