Posted by on Jun 11, 2017 in News | 0 comments

Harlem, NY rapper Max B was sent to prison in 2009 for charges related to an armed robbery and murder. In September of 2016, he had his sentence reduced from 75 years to 20 years. That was a win for Max due to him having almost 10 years time served, which would put him in the window of parole in the next few years.

Bad Boy recording artist and Coke Boys CEO French Montana has been a close friend of Max B’s for years and has created music with him. He recently Instagram-ed himself going to visit Max in prison and it is known that they speak often. On June 10th, 2016, French sent this tweet:

Is Max B home already?

Audio: Mysonne – “The Freestyles”

Posted by on Jun 9, 2017 in Audio, Music | 0 comments

NYC emcee Mysonne has recently made a few headlines. Being outspoken about the state of hip hop, Mysonne pushes an envelope of rappers being more responsible for what they are saying and portraying in their music. He recently had an exchange words (and disses) with Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave over Ave’s choice of naming his latest project “Nupac”.

Make no mistake, Mysonne is not a new rapper. He was signed to the late Chris Lighty’s Violator Entertainment imprint and was on the way of launching his career, only to be stopped short by a prison bid for a robbery charge in 1999. Since his release, he has been releasing music independently and using his voice to uplift the culture. Respected for his bars and wordplay, Mysonne receives honorable mentions in the circles of hip hop purists.

Here is Mysonne’s latest offering, “The Freestyles”, available via Soundcloud. Stream here, comment, like and share. #PRESSPLAY

Also, Thug Life rapper and early Outlawz collaborator Big Syke passed away recently.), they are on the verge of releasing their latest album “The Last Ones Left” (same title of a track from 2Pac’s “Until The End of Time” album.). They recently visited “Sway In The Morning” to speak about their times with Tupac, Funkmaster Flex’s recent comments about Tupac’s Quad City Studio’s shooting, Treach’s defense of Tupac, consulting the “All Eyez On Me” biopic, and their soon to be released album.
