Young Dolph Mural in Memphis Has Been Vandalized

It is devastating to hear that the Young Dolph mural in Memphis, Tennessee has been vandalized. The mural was supposed to be completed in time for Dolph’s birthday. The Ida Mae Foundation and Young Dolph’s family had commissioned the project and the partially completed mural had given the city some peace. Unfortunately, two people were caught on surveillance footage throwing paint on the mural. It is very sad to see this, as the artist, Cameron Hill, spent four months creating the masterpiece.

A mural in Memphis dedicated to the late rapper Young Dolph was vandalized this week. The mural was near the location of the music video “100 shots,” which was shot in the city of Memphis in 2017. The mural was intended to be finished by July 27. As a result, it is an unimaginable shame for the city. But, in a way, the graffiti acts pay homage to a fallen hero.

It is difficult to comprehend why such a popular mural would be vandalized, but it is still a sad reality.  The mural, which was being painted by Cameron Hill, is now covered with white paint. The mural was supposed to be placed in King Of Discounts Mini Mart in South Memphis.
