Offset Receives Key TO Gwinnett County Georgia

Atlanta rapper Offset held his first toy giveaway to help local children in Gwinnett County, Georgia, this year. The event was organized by the Lawrenceville Boys and Girls Club and Central Baptist Church. At the event, hundreds of children were given Christmas presents.

Offset said he wanted to give back to his hometown of Lawrenceville, GA. He also thanked the kids and community for their support.

Gwinnett County has one of the most diverse populations in the country. It’s nearly 950,000 people. During the last 20 years, the county’s non-white population grew by 140%.

Offset donated money to the Atlanta Community Food Bank to open a branch in Gwinnett. He also distributed free meals to voters in line for the voting booth.

The rapper thanked Gwinnett County and Lawrenceville for their support and mentioned his cousin, fallen Migos rapper Takeoff.

Earlier this year, Offset received a key to Gwinnett County from the Mayor of Lawrenceville. This was the rapper’s first toy drive and the first time he was given a key to his hometown.

He shared photos from the event on Instagram. He said it would not be the last.

Gwinnett County’s diverse demographics have helped it become a major player in the state’s economy. It’s one of the largest suburban counties in Georgia. And it is home to many foreign-owned companies.
