Grand Theft Charges Dropped Against Lil Meech
Lil Meech was arrested on Monday on multiple counts of fraud and scamming. He is the son of BMF leader Big Meech, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2005, but his sentence was later reduced to 325 months. According to reports, Meech did not return the remaining steadiness to Haimov Jewelers in Miami.
According to TMZ, Lil Meech was charged with grand theft and organized fraud after stealing a $250,000 Richard Mille watch from a Miami jewelry store in February. He had put down an initial deposit of $80,000 but failed to pay off the balance. He then tried to trade the watch for another watch. The police were able to apprehend Meech and release him on bond.
According to the Atlanta Journal, Meech, who is also known as Big Meech, had paid down the watch to the jeweler on Valentine’s Day, but failed to pay the remaining balance. He then tried to exchange the expensive piece for a cheaper one. Despite the arrest, Meech was released on bond the same day. The rapper was then able to post an Instagram photo to let fans know he was free. He is now preparing for season two of ‘BMF’ in Atlanta.
Lil Meech has been a popular celebrity in the entertainment industry. His crime drama, “BMF,” was renewed for a second season before the first season even aired. The actor also recently starred in the HBO show Euphoria, in which he plays the role of Travis. While his acting career has taken off, the recent charges against him are not good news for him.
The charges against Lil Meech were dropped after the media covered the case. The rapper was charged with two counts of first-degree grand theft. One of them was a specific count of organized fraud, which is one of the most serious crimes in Florida. In his mugshots, Lil Meech sports a slight smirk, and doesn’t seem too worried about his arrest.
