Eddie Murphy Bringing Beverly Hills Cop Sequel To Netflix

Eddie Murphy Bringing Beverly Hills Cop Sequel To Netflix

There has been a lot of talk about a Beverly Hills Cop 4 remake, and now, it appears that Netflix has acquired the film’s rights. The film has been in development for years, and Eddie Murphy is attached to reprise the role of Axel Foley.

The Beverly Hills Cop franchise is becoming increasingly popular and Netflix is looking to capitalize on the success of the original films with a sequel. The studio has licensed the rights to the Beverly Hills Cop films and have been lining up actors and directors to adapt them for a Netflix original. The series is currently in development and will star Murphy and Taylour Paige, and it is being directed by Mark Molloy. It is written by Will Beall and will be produced by Murphy and Jerry Bruckheimer.

In addition to Beverly Hills Cop, Murphy has a new project with Netflix called Dolemite Is My Name. It tells the true story of Rudy Ray Moore, a kung fu fighter and Blaxploitation-era comedian. The film also stars Keegan-Michael Key and Wesley Snipes.

In addition to the remake, Eddie Murphy will also star in three original films for Amazon Studios. The company has a history of picking up movies from Hollywood, and Coming 2 America was the most-watched movie on Amazon Prime in its debut weekend. Although Amazon has not provided viewership numbers for the film, it has picked up the film from Paramount during its pandemic in October 2020 for $125 million.

The cost of Cop III was over $70 million, but Murphy only got $15 million. This is a good sign, as the production of the movie was no cheap endeavor. It took years and a lot of money to make, but it was well worth the investment. But what about the cost of the sequel?
