Bay Area Rapper Kamiyah Arrested For Gun Possession In Airport

Bay Area rapper Kamiyah has been arrested on gun possession charges after an incident at an airport. Police believe the gun she was carrying was used in the incident. Kamiyah was released on a $70,000 bond and is scheduled to perform at the Rolling Loud festival in Oakland this weekend.

Kamiyah is a native of Oakland and is currently on tour. She was arrested on August 31 at the Burbank airport after TSA agents discovered a loaded.380 semi-automatic pistol inside her purse. Kamiyah was also carrying an outstanding warrant. The arrest happened while Kamiyah was trying to catch a flight back to her hometown. However, she was bonded out the same day and is continuing her tour.
