Rapper Boldy James Hospitalized After Car Accident

A few days ago, a car accident caused rapper Boldy James to spend a few days in the hospital. The rapper has undergone extensive neck surgery and is still recovering from his injuries, but he is on the mend.

Before the car accident, the 40-year-old musician was gearing up to release his next project, a record with an unheard-of J Dilla production. He also released a collaboration album with Futurewave and Cuns, titled Mr. Ten08, in November.

In addition to his own solo efforts, the Detroit native also worked with the Cool Kids and Nicholas Craven on a collaborative project titled “Fair Exchange No Robbery”, which he released in September. His “Bo Jackson” collaboration album with The Alchemist starred the critically acclaimed first “48 Freestyle“, and featured a number of impressive production gimmicks.

The other notable musical feat performed by Boldy was the release of his first mixtape, “My 1st Chemistry Set”, in 2013. This record, aptly dubbed the “mixtape,” is a worthy heir to the “First 48 Freestyle” dynasty.  The talented rapper also opened up for Action Bronson’s NBA Leather World Tour in 2022.

Although the car crash has put a damper on the rapper’s career, he’s still got his share of awards. For instance, he’s won Best Mixtape at the MTV Video Music Awards. Until the latest health scare, James has also appeared on numerous hip-hop albums and mixtapes. His most recent collaboration, “Be That as It May“, was released in December and was produced by Cuns and Futurewave.
