New Jersey Hip Hop Legend Tame One Passes Away

Tame One, a New Jersey hip-hop legend, has passed away. He was 52 years old and was best known for his work with hip-hop group Artifacts and rap supergroup The Weathermen. His death has been confirmed by rapper/podcaster, Rah Digga, who posted an emotional tribute on her Instagram.

Tame One was born Rahem Brown in New Jersey. He was the cousin of Redman and was an accomplished graffiti artist. In the late ’80s, he and El Da Sensei formed a duo called Artifacts. Their first album, Between a Rock and a Hard Place, was released by Atlantic Records. Their second album, That’s Them, came out in 1997. The Artifacts  recently released their album with producer Buckwild, No Expiration Date. He also was a member of the Weathermen and Leak Bros.

Sadly, his death came from heart failure. His family was mourning his passing and has released a statement expressing their condolences.
