Mystikal also faces drug charges in connection with a rape case, but the details of the alleged crime are sketchy. According to court documents, the suspect is a lifetime sex offender. He was previously convicted of extortion and sexual assault.

The incident occurred in Prairieville, La. The woman, who had been in a relationship with Mystikal for more than a year, went to his home after an argument about money. He allegedly choked the woman and pulled her hair while stealing her cell phone and keys. She then called her friend, who took her to a hospital. The victim’s account was confirmed by a sexual assault kit.

The new charges against Michael Tyler follow a conviction for sexual battery in 2003. He previously pleaded guilty to sexual battery in 2003 and was sentenced to six years in prison. His lawyer Joel Pearce said that Tyler has a history of committing sex offenses and he’s a registered sex offender. He served six years in prison for sexual battery and extortion in 2003. He is currently incarcerated without bail.

Mystikal also was indicted on multiple charges. In addition to rape, Mystikal was also charged with drug possession, including heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. His attorney, Joel Pearce, says bond will be discussed in his case.

The victim didn’t remember certain parts of the night, but she remembered the incident. She found “a crystalline substance” on Mystikal’s dresser. Later, police officers found Xanax, heroin, and marijuana in Mystikal’s home. After the incident, Mystikal apologized and prayed for the victim. He also sprayed the woman with rubbing alcohol to clean her.

The rapper has previously been charged with rape. Prosecutors dropped the charges in 2017. The rape case is the latest in a long line of legal troubles for the rapper. His previous conviction for sexual assault put him behind bars for six years.
