Lil Baby started his career as a rapper after being released from prison. He worked for Quality Control studios and rapped his own songs. Lil Baby was not always successful, but in 2016, his debut album, Perfect Timing, broke the top rap charts and became incredibly famous. The following year, he launched a record label called 4PF (4 Pockets Full), which was nominated for Grammy Awards.
