A Defendant In YSL RICO Case Calls For Mistrial Due To Interrogation Video

The trial of Atlanta rapper Young Thug and hisYSL has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons. In one of the more recent developments, a defendant in the YSL RICO case called for a mistrial after an interrogation video of YSL affiliate Kenneth Copeland, aka YSL Woody, shows him giving authorities information about Young Thug and others started trending on social media.

According to an attorney, the video is a violation of her client’s right to a fair and impartial jury. She also says the video is a threat to the safety of her client and others in the courtroom.

In the motion, Gina Bernard says she wants a judge to declare a mistrial for her client Jayden Myrick. Myrick is accused of trying to rob four people in a YSL gang attack outside the Capital City Country Club last year. He was then sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Myrick was convicted of murder, armed robbery and 13 other charges in the case. He is also accused of committing a number of other crimes, including conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and illegal street gang activity.

Several other YSL members are also facing criminal charges for their involvement in the case. They include Deamonte Kendrick, Unfoonk and more.

The jury selection process for the YSL trial began in January and has gone on for a few months. It is expected to last about nine months and could go to a mistrial before it’s finished, depending on the judge’s decision.

This is an extremely serious issue. It could potentially ruin the credibility of the testimony that is being heard. The judge should either toss the whole case or make this footage inadmissible at trial for fairness purposes.

The video was originally leaked on February 17 and has since been viewed millions of times. It was allegedly recorded during an interrogation where Woody reveals that Young Thug is calling shots behind bars and that someone was supposed to be killed that night.

He also claims that he has information that would help him beat the case. The video is a major blow to YSL and could put the rapper in prison for years.

YSL is an Atlanta-based gang that prosecutors say was founded in 2012. They said the group uses violence to advance their own goals and to intimidate others in the community.

Many YSL members are now serving jail sentences for their alleged crimes, and others have already pleaded guilty to charges associated with the gang. Rappers Lil Duk, Yak Gotti and Unfoonk were also charged in the YSL RICO case.
