The life and career of Tupac Shakur has been impactful on the cultures of hip hop and pop for a span of over 20 years. Even in the aftermath of his untimely passing in 1996, his legacy has influenced many worldwide. With the masses awaiting a biopic detailing his life (“All Eyez On Me”) set to drop on June 16, 2017, an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame seems to be in order.

The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is not only reserved for the genre of Rock & Roll. Last year seen the induction of iconic rap group N.W.A. into the ranks and was met with a few naysayers. Nevertheless, the Tupac’s induction took place April 7th, 2017 and included a speech given by collaborator and former Death Row Records labelmate, Snoop Dogg. Also in the house to pay tribute to Pac through a medley of hits was T.I., YG, Alicia Keys, and longtime comrade Treach of Naughty By Nature.

The official airing of the induction will be shown on HBO at a later date. In the meantime, there are several social media videos that have surfaced with footage of performances, Snoop’s induction speech, and backsatge footage. Above is a montage of some of them. #PRESSPALY

RIP to Tupac Shakur …… Thug Immortal.
